Additional Terms
Time Measurement
1/4 of an hour is charged for every 15 minutes started. Thus, a minimum of 15 minutes is charged for a phone call or email even if the communication takes less time.
Travel and Additional Expenses
For travel outside the capital area, a kilometre fee of 141 ISK is charged per kilometre driven. The Ministry of Finance's rules on travel expenses are used as a guideline.
Additional expenses such as travel costs, assessments, court filing fees, etc. are charged separately according to submitted invoices with a 10% surcharge.
Payments
Invoices for work are sent monthly with a due date 15 days from the invoice date.
Invoices for additional expenses are sent as they occur with a due date 10 days from the invoice date.
The firm may charge a 290 ISK invoice fee on issued invoices.
The firm may require clients to pay part of the fee in advance.
Document Preparation
The base fee for prenuptial agreements, financial separation agreements, wills, employment contracts, and termination agreements is 58.468 ISK excluding VAT (72.500 ISK including VAT), plus the hourly rate for data collection.
